Romulus AugustusRuled 475 CE - 476 CE
Romulus Augustus, otherwise known as Romulus Augustulus, wasn't really known for being a strong ruler or an incredible state builder. He really was the last resort for the Romans, trying to assert their power one final time before being conquered by Odoacer and the Scirians.
Romulus Augustus was raised to the throne in 475 CE by his father, Orestes. However, although he didn't do much, Romulus Augustus is a major symbol for the grand finale of this major world power that lasted over a 1000 years. With the end of the Roman Empire comes the end of this website's information. I hope you enjoyed your time learning more about various rulers of Rome, and I encourage you to look back at other individuals if you haven't seen their pages, and check out other sources if you want to learn more! |
